Provide weekly wellbeing insights to parents
Detect concerning or unsafe content and send safety alerts to parents or guardians
Manage trials, subscriptions, billing access, and fair-use limits

We do not use your child's data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

We use technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data:

PIN protection for both parent and child access
Security reviews and updates as the service develops
Data stored on secure servers with backup systems

Some features may change over time, but your data remains protected under these same security standards.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your child's personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

With AI service providers to generate stories, images, safety classifications, and insights. We send the information needed to provide those features and apply de-identification where practical before sending child prompts.
With Stripe to process subscriptions, payments, billing portal access, receipts, and payment-related notifications
When required by law or legal process
To protect the safety and rights of our users

6. Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

Review all information collected about your child
Request deletion of your child's data
Refuse further collection of your child's information
Update or correct information at any time
Opt out of wellbeing insight emails or non-essential communications

Deletion requests may take up to 30 days to process.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. When you delete your account, we will delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

In some cases, safety-related records (such as flagged stories) may be retained for a longer period if reasonably necessary to protect the wellbeing of a child or comply with legal obligations.

8. Children's Privacy

Embodifi is designed with a family account structure where a parent account manages child profiles. The app structure assumes parents will manage initial account setup. We follow principles consistent with applicable children's privacy laws (such as COPPA where relevant) and:

Require account holders to consent to our terms and privacy policy before child profiles can be created
Collect only the minimum information needed to operate the service
Do not allow children to create accounts independently

9. Service Updates

Embodifi may change and improve over time. This means:

Features and layouts may change or improve over time
Occasional bugs or issues may appear as we maintain and improve the service
We may contact you to request feedback that helps us improve the experience for families

Your privacy rights remain fully protected as the service evolves.

10. Story Content and Anonymisation

To help protect your child's privacy, we try to remove or mask obvious personal details such as phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and social handles before prompts are used for AI processing. This is not perfect, so we also encourage parents to:

Regularly review the stories and prompts their child writes
Avoid including full names, addresses, school names, or other identifying information in prompts
Contact us if you believe any story content should be removed more quickly

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of Embodifi after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
